Nine Players Score for the Dragons in 14-3 Win over Manhattan

Philadelphia – Drexel women's lacrosse had nine different players register goals as the Dragons cruised past Manhattan, 14-3. Drexel scored 11 times in the first half and held the Lady Jaspers scoreless en route to the non-conference victory. Kaitlin Keegan (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) scored three goals for the Dragons (2-1) while three different players tallied for Manhattan (0-2).
The Drexel offense started the game strong with 10 goals in the opening 20 minutes of play. Drexel used just 15 first-half shots to register 11 goals. Keegan scored all three of her goals in the opening period while Gwenna Johnson (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) added a pair. Drexel goalie Lauren LaBella (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa) held the Lady Jaspers scoreless in her 30 minutes of action as she registered six saves. Drexel's career leader in assists, Kerry Kelly (Roseland, N.J./West Essex), registered four assists and two goals.
Drexel returns to Vidas Field on Sunday, March 4 for a 1:00 p.m. game with crosstown rival Villanova.
